MMS - How to Attach Media to an Initial Outbound or Recommended Reply

You can use TextOut to send images and videos via MMS messages to contacts attached to your Initial Outbound and Recommended Replies.

File Types & Media Size Limits

To maximize deliverability across all carriers, limit your attachment size to 500KB. 

Allowed file types for images include: 

• .GIF
• .JPEG
• .PNG

Allowed file types for videos include: 

• mp4

How to Attach a Media File to an Initial Outbound

1. Select “Administration” from the top menu ❯ “Programs.”
2. Create a Program or click the  "Edit" button next to the desired Program.
3. On the “Scripts" tab, click the "Initial Outbounds" subtab.
4. Click the "Create Initial Outbound" button at the top right of that screen.
5. Insert your Initial Outbound message into the field.
6. Click “Attach” to attach any media files to your IOB. 
7. Click "Save Changes."

With 10DLC Registered Campaigns, you can submit your image files to The Campaign Registry after successfully creating your Campaign. You may submit up to five images to a Campaign. Please contact the Client Success team if you need to delete an image. When you click attach, only the approved images will be accessible for your program to use based on your Campaign selection. 

How to Attach a Media File to a Recommended Reply

1. Select “Administration” from the top menu ❯ “Programs.”
2. Create a Program or click the  "Edit" button next to the desired Program.
3. On the “Scripts" tab, click the "Recommended Reply" subtab.
4. Select the Recommended Reply you would like to attach an image to
5. Click “Attach” to attach any media files to your message. 

Click " Save Changes."
